English Lavender - Lavendula angustifolia

DESCRIPTION

I think I've said this before about other plants... but Lavender is one of my absolute favorites and the bees find it irresistible! Any time I walk by a lavender plant, I just have to brush it so that I can smell it!

Lavender is long blooming and kind of likes neglect, it thrives in rocky soils with little to no water, too much water is actually a no no with lavender.

Not only is lavender beautiful while in bloom, it's woody stems offer great winter interest and seeds for the birds when left unpruned in the winter.
