Having developed and operated the program for two years, then becoming SpokaneScape Certified, shows that I am passionate about water-efficient landscaping, and that I have a clear understanding of the program! I'm truly excited to assist you with your new water-wise landscape!
Removing turf grass is one of the most water conscious adjustments a homeowner can make to reduce their water usage and associated costs. SpokaneScape is a water-efficient landscape that has been designed specifically for Spokane residents; its focus is on the replacement of lawn with low-volume irrigation and drought tolerant plant material. A well-designed SpokaneScape will beautify your property, protect our natural resources and the environment; and will inevitably reduce yard maintenance.
You can earn up to a $500 credit towards your water bill after removing your lawn and replacing it with water-wise plants and mulch. You may claim $0.50 per square foot of lawn removed with a minimum of 300 square feet per year.
No matter how much help you need to get the perfect SpokaneScape Designed or Installed, I can help.
Landscape Design & Consultation
Irrigation Design & Consultation
Application Paperwork
Installation Consultation (But I can't do the installation)
Did I mention that I literally 'wrote the book'?! Well co-wrote, but still, it's chock full of great information to get you started with your design and installation.
My 15+ years of experience in the landscape design, and design-build field, has given me the understanding of how important it is to provide a set of plans that are accurate and easy to read, so that you, or your contractor, have a smooth installation.
All of my plans are drawn in AutoCad and include:
Easy to Read Planting Plan
Materials Plan
Plant List
Planting Details
Irrigation Plan
Irrigation Parts List
Maintenance Notes
Material and Plant Cost Estimate
As our population grows, it's imperative that we begin to consider preserving our natural resources. A waterwise landscape is a beautiful alternative to traditional landscaping, it incorporates drought tolerant and native plants coupled with drip irrigation to create a low maintenance, low input landscape.
